Don't know why but I really like and want one of the Marlin lever action 1894 CSBL or SBL. Since the Remey take over, rumors are the quality isn't what it used to be. However, I have no personal experience with the new models. I think they look good!

@J R Green you might like the 1894 CST model.

I'm a bit more of a traditionalist with these.

Yes, the QC during the takeover was pretty bad and I've seen several examples with very sloppy wood to metal fit. My son has one but at least it shoots ok. His original Marlin 1895 shoots better.

It's Stainless..... I love it.

For a while Remlins were junk...… I bought a new one in 2017, and all seems good except for what dave mentioned above. The forend to tip fit wasn't very good (they didn't cut a radius at the front of the forend to have a flush fit with the tip). Purely cosmetic, and it wasn't a big deal to me.

Really want a threaded barrel lever gun in 357/38.

The more I got to looking at them, I’m with you. The threaded .38/.357 model with the right attachment on the front would be pretty handy.

I have one of the older 1894's with the 20" barrel and straight grip. I love it, and I've had no issues with it with either factory ammo or handloads.

I have very little experience with the newer 'remington' version, aside from one that I put an upgraded trigger into for a friend. I know he eventually sent it back to marlin for service because he couldn't get over the rough machining marks.

Stop be here and shoot our Marlin 50 B&M Alaskan.

I got one of the older ones, a Blued one with the ported barrel. Got a peep sight on it. Great stalking gun for Pigs. I still got some of Michaels 500gr hard cast loads he made up for the Guide gun, they have some thump to them.
I've shot one of your 50 B&M Guide guns, back when you guys first made them.

I want one of those short 45-70 guide gun things.
I have absolutely no use for it, but want one none the less!

Many of the things I have or want, I have absolutely no need for LOL!!!

I used to have the SBL and it was an awesome gun. Bought it in a whim and never really shot it much. It was back in my younger/broker days, where I had to sell a gun in order to afford another.
