Mass: Update 5/1/2024

Great news Charles, continued prayers for you and yours.

Three month follow up today. Some growth in a couple tumors in the lungs, but overall doc not terribly impressed and is good with where I am, so he's kicking me out until min-November. A net positive.
That's good news, I have a 3 moth follow up next month. All my stuff has been good since last spring.

🙏

I just started a 6 month run of Immunotherapy and Chemo. First infusion, had an allergic reaction. Doing good now, Tired, alot of aches, but sucking it up, going to work and getting things done. To all the folks on here fighting this fight, keep up the good fight.

Too many, too too many dealing with it. God bless to you and Chuckman and everyone else fighting it.

New scan today, oncologist says some growth in existing tumors, no new tumors, still wants to hold off any more treatment right now. That's the good news.

The scan report, "Evaluation of the upper abdomen is limited in the absence of IV contrast; imaged portions demonstrate interval increased size of an ill-defined low attenuating hepatic mass measuring 36 x 29 mm."

No one has mentioned anything about a liver mass.

Very sorry to hear that Charles. Prayer said for your strength to keep up the good fight.

Abdomen and pelvis CT yesterday, showed "1. New hypoenhancing lesion in the right hepatic lobe, concerning for metastasis. 2. New lytic lesion in the left acetabulum, concerning for metastasis." Great. Waiting to hear from oncology as to next steps. These are my thoughts: 1) do nothing now, rescan in a few months since I am asymptomatic; 2) biopsy; 3) start treatment.

Just talked with doc. Definitely "growth of existing disease". He gave me two options: because I am young-ish, don't have significant medical history, and am asymptomatic, we continue with imaging to establish growth trends, but 'up' the imaging to every 6-8 weeks; or, start chemo. I elected door number 1, imaging. So it is indeed metastasis, we just don't know how fast.

Stay aggressive, but all the best to you Chuckman!
