Let me preface this by saying I've been an avid fisher my entire life. I've landed everything from 7+ feet sharks and monster rainbow trout, most everything between........but tonight I've never been more proud of any fish. I took my four and seven year old girls fishing tonight. They both love to fish and are pretty good for their ages. I gave the youngest her rod and put a worm on for her and told her to cast it out and have fun. While I turned around and was tying a hook on my other daughters line I hear her saying she's got one. She's caught plenty before so I told her just to reel it in. While I'm tying I can hear her grunting and saying "this is a strong one". I finally turn around and her little rod is bent pretty hard and she's got it to the bank but can't get it out of the water.
It was just over ten and a quarter inches long and very thick. I can't remember any bream I've ever held or seen in person that was this large. Just thought you guys might enjoy the story, because I sure won't forget it anytime soon.
