I'm trying to figure out how many magazines I need for a USPSA match. What is the highest round count that you have seen in a USPSA stage? If I understand the rules correctly, there is no max round count.

Which division you running? In limited I typically only use 2 mags and carry a spare-3 total on belt. For production, the more the merrier
Outdoor matches usually require more rounds per stage and for the day as well
Check the USPSA rule book, specificly rule 1.2.
Now, at local matches you may have a stage with more than 32 rds, albeit a rarity. Limited is good with 3 mags on belt, Production would want 5 along with single stack. Carry optics can probably get away with 3. Open is usually 3.

I shoot Production with 5 mags on my belt, and one to start with.
Level 3 and up are limited to 32 rounds required. Can't say I've seen a local that exceeded that.
Limited I used two 140mm and a standard 15rnd
CO 3 140mms
Production I usually have five on the belt, the fifth is in case I lose one or get off plan, I wasn't always this way.
In almost 40 matches I've run out exactly one time, an unloaded start mags from belt, shooting production when I only wore four, got off plan and dropped one with 8 rounds still in it.

I'm planning to shoot the Cornelius match next month. It's going to be the first time I use a 1911 in a match since I shot bullseye back in the 1980's.
