While America battles Covid19 and itself, the Chinese new secret weapon against us is mystery seeds!

DON'T PLANT THEM! They tell us. Why? What are these mystery seeds and what diabolical plant experiment are we exposed to? The inscrutable Chinese are staying silent. What a conundrum we have... To plant them and see what comes up or destroy them out of hand. These are tough questions.

Conspiracy theories commence!

P.S. :)

Shoot... so after the Government took Kudzu and said, "Yeah, that would be an efficient erosion deterrent".

And, most recently northern asian bamboo.... "Yeah, that would make great roadside cover"....

Now, it's like... NO!!!!! Don't plant those seeds!!!!!

I am thinking:
1. Little Shop of Horror Venus fly traps
2. Pods that emit DNA changing Virus (A la... Alien Covenant)
3. Murder Hornet Eggs
4. Jack and the Bean Stalk... except we are the giants... Asians are typically shorter than Americans....
5. Nuclear Bombs that need nitrogen-cycle and photosythenesis to detonate
6. Mathra eggs..... (Need to borrow Godzilla)

But most probable:...

Hey, Chen... watch me send these pepper seeds over to the USA and watch them freak out....

Perhaps someone is sending the seeds to make it look like it is China.

Ooh that is clever! Riddles inside riddles. Disinformation. The article says NC residents are targeted. So it hits close to home. Right when i am getting decent home grown tomato's at the farmers market WHAM! this happens.

Folks, I actually received a package of seeds from China about 2 months ago. At the time I had ordered a bunch of vegetable seeds from US suppliers, and I wracked my brain trying to remember what seeds that I'd ordered from China (none, as it turned out).

The seeds that I received unsolicited look just like some of the ones in the article. There was no paperwork included with the seeds, but the address had oriental characters in it.

Bottom line, it's real.

Definitely don't plant them. Could be something as innocent as flowers, but there's a good chance its something invasive that will get out of control, or may be something that will make the local wildlife sick. We have enough Chinese plants causing trouble over here already. Kudzu, Royal Paulowina, Tree of Heaven, Cogon Grass, Bradford Pear, etc.

We should start planting the Chinese. Right up to their ears.

Just brace yourself for the fallout when someone plants them. And you know someone will plant them. FFS, we can't even keep people from leaving their kids/dogs in hot cars.

DUN DUN DUUUNNNNN. I knew it was real... Now we have proof. Did you keep the seeds SCSmith? Do we have any Botanists on CFF? We have to get to the bottom of this!

As a side note i ordered some ammo a few weeks ago from TargetsportsUSA, the box had been opened and poorly taped back together. When i opened the box i had my ammo AND 3 metallic pink finger nail polish bottles called Sensual Touch AND two bottles of a made in Korea hot sauce for chicken. There are some shenanigans afoot.

Im thankful for the OP and letting us know about this. Wild

wife told me about this and I said:

1. Honeysuckle
2. Privet
3. Kudzu
4. Snakehead fish
5. Tiger Shrimp

All of these have 2 things in common: From East Asia, and someone thought they were a good idea to bring home to the USA.

What’s the deal with honeysuckle??

maybe i am wrong but isnt US customs supposed to be on top of this? or have defunded them already?

This one is going to be interesting ... photos that have be shown in the news appear to show at least a couple different types of seeds ... not just one specific seed type.

Could they be GMO plants “engineered” to screw with US plants and possibly things that ingest said plants?
Could they be invasive plants ... like Kudzu?
Could they be irritant plants ... like Poison Ivy?
Could they be deadly plants ... like Hemlock?
Could they grow into monster plants that eat people ... Little Shop of Horrors?

Who knows yet? While it funny to imagine all the conspiracies there is a serious risk.

What is kinda scary to think of is what are people doing with these seeds? Personally I do not think throwing them in the garbage is smart ... they hit the city dump and a couple bags pops thru handling ... a bird grabs the bag and eats the seeds ... bam they’re in play in the growth cycle of many seeds. I have seen some reports say put them in a plastic bag and call the USDA for instructions. I do not see the USDA picking up all the seeds and destroying them ... somebody will screw it up. I truly can see some chowderhead who just has to plant a couple “just to see what they are”.

Anyway ... if we receive any I’m burning them ... bag and all ... how about you guys?
