Medals and Awards Question

All awards in the military come with a written certificate suitable for framing stating what the circumstances of the award were.
There should be a copy in your dad's service record book too.

All mine have a DD form with the circumstances written out, then a seperate certificate suitable for framing.

ETA, plus the physical award itself in its case. IIRC, the ribbon was an individual purchase since wear was optional.

I know he has them, the hard part is trying to locate them in all the boxes.

A Colonel friend and family member (in-law) gave me a number to call last night. Supposedly they can look the info up fairly quickly for funerals through this service, so we're going with that option.
