The car flew roughly 330 feet across the river, stunning local police. As the silver Mercedes descended, it took the tops off trees and then crashed and rolled into an upright position, witnesses said.

"In my 20 years, I've never seen a vehicle travel close to that distance," California Highway Patrol (CHP) spokesman Mike Salas told Fresno's KFSN-TV. He added that it traveled "approximately 337 feet."

“Like at 100 miles per hour, he cleared the whole damn river," Bryan Zollars told Fresno's KSEE-TV.

“What may have been going through his mind to drive this fast?” CHP Officer Matt Zulim asked, according to the outlet. “And to do what he did in his car today. ... He jumped the San Joaquin River.

The pilot, David Callahan.

Godspeed is the only thing that allowed him to clear that river.

I can't tell what model it was and they don't mention it. Some AMGs have a top speed of 186. IIRC

Looks like an e class. Doesnt have AMG wheels still they get up to the 140s i believe.

Right in the middle of the jump everything froze, and I heard Uncle Jessie from the Dukes of Hazard saying “this fool ain’t gonna make it.”

So there just happened to be a ramp of the correct length and angle at the spot he intersected the river. Hmm.
