The Galil ACE is a stunning firearm right out of the box, but the stock handguard leaves a bit to be desired on an otherwise almost perfect gun. Thankfully, Midwest Industries and RS Regulate make modular M-LOK aluminum alternatives. Although I favor RS Regulate for my side-mounted AK optics, I went with the MI handguard for my ACE handguard. This was a purely cosmetic decision - I just think the MI looks better. These handguards are available in 6.25", 10", and 12.5" lengths. I went with the 10" version because it sits flush with the front sight post. Installation took all of five minutes, and it honestly looks like it came stock on the gun. Fit and finish are 100%, and MI includes a picatinny rail section with the handguard - a nice little bonus. I got a good deal on a Zenitco RK-4 vertical grip, so that will go on once it gets here from Russia. Very satisfied with the way this looks, and it's much more comfortable and solid to shoot (those stock handguards are a bit rattly due to the removable plastic rail covers). Anyway, I think there are a few fellow ACE owners on here, so I figured I'd share. If you are on the taller side and/or you prefer a longer grip technique, in my opinion either one of these handguards is a must-have for you guys.
