Good Morning, I am Michael, from Conway, brother in arms to William V Bruton, I think many of you know young William! Bill has been after me for some time to come visit with you folks, but I keep telling him there is no "BIG BORE RIFLE" section to worry with..... LOL.......... You really need to get with the program under the "Rifle" section! OK, sorta kidding, a little................

Anyway, Good morning to all. Now, I have no more time left, headed to the range, have terminal ballistics to do with .358 caliber. My friend Sam and I are playing with a 358 MPG thing on a AR. We are working on some new bullets, load development, and doing a bit of pressure work, also mind Blend some powders together to see if we can come up with some new blends......... So, thanks, and I will catch you later......

Michael

Welcome Michael and thanks for signing up

Welcome, @Michael458 , it's about time you got here. I guess now we'll have to add a big bore rifle section to the forum.

Blending powders? What could possibly go wrong? But, I'm guessing that you have more experience in this than most of us.

Welcome

Oh no another Bruton from Conway!:D

Welcome Michael! I absolutely love the dead safari room pics. Look forward to see it in person.

BTW I am guessing the .458 is Winchester or Lott, and not SOCOM :D

Greetings Michael and welcome to CFF. Happy to have you with us!

Folks, a man needs to pat his own coon dog on occasion. This member brings an unbelievable amount of knowledge about Big Bore Rifles. An extraordinary amount of knowledge about any Loading questions ya'll might have. He is the moving force behind B&M Rifles and the curator for the DEAD ZOO. He is my friend of 35+ years and I trust him with my life.
In other words...…...now sicem.

Thanks all for the Warm Welcome, do keep in mind, there may be times you wish I had not shown up! HEH HEH...............

I guess now we'll have to add a big bore rifle section to the forum.

Well, of course, I have never in my life seen a Forum that did not have big Bore Rifles...... Do keep in mind, big bore starts at .400+........ Everything less is rat rifles.........And real Big Bores start at .458 +.............Just FYI..

Blending powders? What could possibly go wrong? But, I'm guessing that you have more experience in this than most of us.

Yep, been know to mix things up a little bit here...... It is good fun......... its easier when you are working with a 100 gr of powder or more per load.....

Correct. I started my big bore adventures with 458 Winchester, graduated to 458 Lott, and today my most favorite 458 is 458 B&M, equal to 458 Winchester, but you can do it in 18 inches of barrel and 7.5 lbs of
total gun............. While best known for the various .500s we have done, I will always have a great affection for .458 caliber.............

He is my friend of 35+ years and I trust him with my life.

You are getting old! HEH...... Maybe both of us I suppose.........

Thanks again for the welcome........ We have lots of interests and love testing things........ just off the range today with a full day of Terminal Tests, in addition pressure work with a 358 MPG, and some new powders....
Always something going on.......
Michael

Hey Michael, it was good to see you again the other day, too many years between visits. I took your advice and have the parts to put a 10.5" 300BA on the way. When I get it together I'll get up with you and pick your brain on a load for it.
