I have been "Summoned" and therefore I am at your service............ HEH HEH..............
As Mac says, the solids burned through all the little stretchy dolls. Even though that was a Nosler Solid, and I am not sure how they are today, but back in the day, the meplat was smaller than it should be. Remember, Meplat size determines terminal stability. The bullet needs 65% Meplat of Caliber to be completely stable during terminals in aqueous medium. The second shot with the solid appeared to go reasonably straight for 8 of the dolls. I dare say, had there been more in the line, it would have veered off course at some point. Unless of course the newer versions have a larger meplat than the old ones. Regardless, Mission Accomplished, 8 stretchy dolls bite the dust......
I have to say, I am surprised the Hornady expanding bullet only got 4 of them! The new Hornady looks pretty good actually. The versions before this one were horrific and caused a lot of problems in Africa. It appears from this, they may have improved the bullet some. Although I am not sure stretchy dolls is a proper example of good test medium.
