Has anyone used this Midwest Powders MP 190 Pistol Powder before? I can’t find any load data and I’m not sure if it’s the same as one of Shooters Worlds powders. If you have used this powder with success and can point me in the direction of load data, I would appreciate it. 2D0736A5-0BDC-4750-99A4-60A67A60DC2B.jpeg

Did you see this as part of the ad?

MP 190 Ball Powder

Caliber – 9mm

Charge – 5.6 gr

Bullet – 115gr FMJ

Avg. Velocity – 1,060 fps

Caliber - .40 s&w

Charge – 6.5 gr

Bullet – 180gr FMJ

Avg. Velocity – 935 fps

Caliber - .45 ACP

Charge – 6.6 gr

Bullet – 230gr FMJ

Avg. Velocity – 890 fps

I did but I’m going to load different bullets in those calibers and different calibers.
Have you tried looking in a couple reloading manuals to see what other powders call for those weight bullets and charges? That could give you a good reference, then just back it down 0.5-1gr or so to start, and work up to find what works.

Edit: Per my Lee manual, this powder seems very close to True Blue or Longshot. I would check another manual to be safe and start 0.5gr below the starting load for the comparable powder.

Midwest Powder MP 195
The only info I could find on this Powder was provided from American Reloading. So I thought I would let others know my results.

Since this thread re-surfaced...

Someone said they got this from American Reloading on MP-190...

It will burn 35-40 on the chart and can be cross referenced to WSF and Autocomp.

Thank you,
American reloading currently has MP 195. American Reloading listed it as "similar to "W 572"
I bought a 5lb jug.

MP 190 data from American Reloading was very similar to MP 195 but doesn't offer 9 mm data, 40 cal load was similar but fps different, and 45 acp charge was also different.

I'm also interested in MP 195. I'm a complete noobie with reloading but others have pointed out that Red Eye Reloading had free shipping/no hazardous shipping charges. They currently have MP 195 in stock. I only want to buy a pound, but will buy the 5 lbs just to get started. Can anyone confirm the reloading data for W 572 is what I should be using for MP 195? I am reloading 9mm 115 grn FMJ RN. I have everything but the powder. Not wed to MP 195 nor Red Eye, but do want to get some powder and can't stomach the thought paying as much for the shipping/hazmat as the pound of powder. Thanks in advance!

Paul
