Midwest's Ruger PC9 hardguard is up on their web site now

I'm a little disappointed that the high end aftermarket hasn't provided barbie doll level accessories for the PC yet.
I figured Tacsol would have a aluminium lightweight upper, Silencerco would have a integrally suppressed upper and TAPCO would have...well, TAPCO crap.

It's kind of an odd duck anyway, perhaps they've assumed that the average PC buyer is just a FUDD and wouldn't want anything tacticool on there.

If the OEM rail on the front was just a tad longer it would solve my issue (the light I've chosen to standardize on doesn't fit right).

Have you looked at the Catalyst Arms HardPoint Kit?

One thing I'm confused about on the MI rail.... Does it also come with the QD socketed stock spacer as well? It shows it in their photo but doesn't mention it in the description.

Sold separately according to their post on AR15com

I got an email from them this morning, said it was available for pre-order to be shipped on the 25th. I followed the link, and it would not let me order. Bummer.

We're close...

I got the MI combo in the mail the other day. I bought it for the handguard, but the combo price was such a good deal that I went ahead and got the buttstock QD spacer and the charging handle as well ... and I'm glad I did.

I'm pretty sure that's the same optic I have! Are you a right hander running the controls on the left as well?

Is it as solid as advertised? Seems like you'll have all sorts of extra leverage now to pull against the locking setup because your hand can ride further out.

Do you normally run a 1 or 2 point sling? I have my other rifles setup to do either, QD on the back, above the grip and on the front rail with the magpul MS4 (I think) so I can switch around. Adding a QD at the front of the rail would almost make this the same way if it can really ride nicely with a single point on that middle QD they've added.

Sig Romeo 5 is the optic. Works great on this carbine.
Forestock is solid as a rock, and a great improvement for support hand placement.
Charging handle is a distinct improvement - more than I expected. I'm a lefty, but I prefer charging strong side.
I usually run a two point sling, but I have both, as I also do either, depending. I haven't decided yet which I prefer with this carbine.
