I knew something like that was coming when I posted hahaha

I had a few ready to go but since I never served I felt I should leave it to one of y'all who did. :)

Glad to see someone stepped up. I didn't want to get pelted with used dip and crayons for opening my mouth.

I didn’t serve...but I’ve been around enough crayon eaters to know they generally understand the grief they will get. You gotta be humble when you are at the top.

I hated when ANYONE started asking questions in any type of “higher up” meeting, whether it was professional development, brigade AAR after a training exercise, whatever. Just shut up and let us leave!!!

I had a CO who seemed to get p*ssed off whenever we got together for a drill critique and I gave my comments. Other people used to tell me to just keep my mouth shut.

Screw that. The b*stard insisted on having all us as drill monitors, he can sit there and listen to my sleep-deprived observations. If he really doesn't want to hear them, he can have me pulled off the effin' drill team.

Oh I absolutely agree that an after action review should have post drill/assessment/performance remarks. My situation was usually some down-cycle (we were basic training cadre, to set the stage) B.S. “come in and work even though it’s Saturday....cuz....we can make you” type thing that was only necessary in the mind of a rear echelon E-9
