Have any of you folks had any experience with a Mod 63 S&W? Are they available? I think a J-frame 22 revolver would be a nice handgun.

What's not to like, J frame, stainless steel, 6 shots, adjustable sights. Any of the J frame "Kit" guns are a nice traveling companion out in the woods. I would have a few if it weren't for that darned boating accident I had on Normal several years ago.....

The Kit guns are fine revolvers.

Not a 63 but a 651, same 4" gun but in .22 WMR. Replaced the same wooden grips for a set of Pacmayers and was a great fishing gun while I fished the creeks of Kentucky.

I have one and it's a great gun. It has a smooth trigger, high viz fiber optic red sights, with 8 rounds. I don't really shoot it a lot anymore since I bought a M & P 22c. The 63 just became a pain for me to clean. I like to clean them every time I shoot them and I guess I'm just getting lazy. It's also not a cheap gun for a 22. You can pick one up for $639.99 at Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore with free shipping to your FFL. 63 001.JPG
