So I found that there's a perfomance center model 442 that takes moon clips that's just a liiiiiittle bit more money than the centennial 442. I've never heard anything bad about moon clips, it may even have a little bit of a better trigger too, I'm not sure but I am sure that I'm going to get one! :D

Assuming the gun is for pocket carry, isn’t it a bit of a drag trying to pocket carry loaded moon clips? Not sure, as I don’t have any experience.

My range is undergoing a small maintenance and upgrade project. If the weather cooperates (and it isn't sweltering for the poor slave doing the work), it might get done before the weekend's done. ;)

I ordered my 442 Pro from Smith & Wesson back in Dec 10' under the military discount while in Afghanistan when they were first announced. Got one of the first one's off the production line in Jun 11'. The cylinder is trimmed by TK customs for Smith. Gun can be loaded with moon clips, speed loaders, speed strips or loose rounds. The moon clips may not take all brands of brass as there is different thickness being made. Mine is my EDC when I'm home in the pocket. One advantage overlooked with the moon clip is the positive extraction of those rounds from that short ejector rod. So, I may carry it with a moon clip in it. Reloads when pocket carrying is speed strips as they lay flat in the pocket. Loaded moon clips are in the night stand for rapid reloading while at home. Another advantage is that SKU never had the ILS! ie No Lock. First ones had a black Teflon finished stainless steel barrel and cylinder and is +P rated. Modifications that I've done to mine is paint the front sight High Vis Orange and installed a set of CTC laser grips. Yes, I like mine.
