This is a first. Trying to remove a muzzle brake that was rocksetted in place. I soaked it in kroil overnight, used a Magpul BEV Block and....the barrel extension came free before the brake cut loose!

Been an interesting couple nights in Tim’s Armory.

Hot water.

Heat some water on the stove..not to boiling, but close. Get on old coffee cup, stand/support the barrel in it with the muzzle down and pour enough water in the cup to cover the threaded part of the barrel. Let it sit overnight.

Try removing the brake the next day.

I’ve never seen someone manage to break the barrel extension loose.
Overachiever you are :D

I have not been able to tell if heating the water does anything, but water and patience does the trick every time.

Ask @concepthomes1 how much value a set of homemade barrel blocks has
