Is there anything I can get to put in my garage to deter these dang pests! I like to have the doors open when in there working but the skeeters eat me up.
This will Work^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^One thing that helps in my shop and in the barn are fans that create an air flow out of the doors and windows. We run fans pretty heavy too ... ceiling fans force them down and shop fans out.
Seems to be the most cost effective way listed so far, do you keep it clipped on you? When I want to work out in the shop, I go out and turn on the Thermocell, 15 minutes later, not a mosquito around.

If you can, sample the stuff before you buy. We tried that once and ours stunk to high heaven. Couldn't stand to wear it.Here is the best stuff I have ever seen for "skeeters". All natural, no deet and they have free shipping. You can sometimes find it at lowes and other places. I saw it a Yoder's Dutch Pantry the other day. I have worked outdoors for 40+ years and this stuff is way better than any other product I have used.

A fan? Seriously, a couple of those big 36" round floor fans set on low.

I just put it in the shed somewhere. It clears out a 10x20 shop in about 10-15 minutes.Seems to be the most cost effective way listed so far, do you keep it clipped on you?
Wondering if I should get 2 and just put one by each open garage door?

We're talking mosquitoes, not vampires!Do you mind the smell of garlic? Mosquitoes hate and are repelled by the smell of garlic. Take a few heads of garlic, purée them in a blender add water and let it sit for a few days. Strain it and spray around the edge of your garage door and surrounding driveway area. True fact, Disney in Florida sprays a mild garlic oil extract around the park. It’s not strong enough for humans to smell but the mosquitoes smell it, and that’s why there are no mosquitoes at that park which sits in the middle of a swamp.
No they are not BUT are worth it when it’s 90* out. Those fans ain’t cheap

Maybe we just got a bad bottle. Neither my wife nor I could stand using the stuff. No wonder mosquitos stayed away from it.That is strange. I have never had any issue with the smell. I just checked a bottle I have on the counter and it smells fine to me. Could be just a difference in personal preferences. Still good advice to sample if possible before buying.

I know, but it really works. I do it around my yard because if someone gets bit I never hear the bloody end of it...We're talking mosquitoes, not vampires!
Don't know. It's been awhile and I don't think we kept the bottle. I think we gave it to my sister-in-law. We did buy it a Lowes. Maybe it just didn't agree with us.You sure you didn't get a bottle of the sun beater? The ingredients listed on people spray are listed as geraniol, rosemary oil, lemon grass oil, pepperment and denatured alcohol. Same for pets and one other thing they list. I can't find the ingredients for the sun beater.
