mossberg shockwave

We had a total of 6 of these scattered amongst us. Down to 1 in 20 Ga. That damn Clint Smith video made me think anybody could shoot one of these. Wellll, ya can't. If you are a tall burly midget with short arms like me, it's not doable. I wish I could but after Really trying I had to realize it won't work for me. Damn I like the concept though. I am spoiled by my 12 inch 870 with the shortened stock. I can get it far enough from my face to not injure myself.

Here is a fella who has learned how to properly operate the Shockwave. He knocks down double clays. Love that he has his dog with him.

The Remington V3 Tac 13 will fit nicely in the Voodoo Tactical 29” scabbard. I ordered another scabbard for the Tac 13. The one in this pic is for my Mossy Shockwave.

I prefer the trigger to be protected inside the scabbard.

Patriot...red or green lasers? Thanks

After thinking it through I bought the red lasers since I had to buy two it was reasonable. Also odds are if I need to put the red dot on a thug it will likely be night. The red stands out dam bright. No go past 20 yards in daylight, hard to see.

Green lasers are much easier to see during daytime...fact. I could not justify the extra $$$ for something that will likely never come into play. Also CT was out of the green when I placed my order that played into my decision as well. FWIW....

Ok thanks...just wondered what your thoughts are. I agree...those green lights are big $'s

Yes, not really bad at all. Of course I haven’t shot any 3” magnum loads....and probably won’t!

I’ve shot plenty of 3” magnum buckshot at deer in SKB and Remington full size guns. Won’t do so in Shockwave!

So I got a Mossberg shockwave was wondering if it could really be used as a truck gun and how would I carry it with out getting in trouble I do not have my ccws

Been wondering how those things shoot. Thanks for the info. This is probably going to climb higher on the list now!

haha...yep, you pull the trigger and it surely goes boom boom quickly. I like mine.

I want the 20g version.

Will I not be able to get a brace, or any other cool stuff for it, since it isnt a 12g?

As for the Shockwaves, I have noticed that for now there are not many accessories available for the 20 ga version.
Not to say that the after marketeers won’t fill the niche at some point. I have not seen a 20 ga Tac 13.

After a couple of weeks of procrastination I put the Crimson Trace Green Rail Mount Laser I had ordered on my Shockwave. I had wanted the CT saddle mount green laser but none were available anyplace I checked...only the red ones.

I tried mounting it first using one section of a Redfield "two piece" Mossberg base mount so the gun wouldn't have hat ugly azz rail on top. That was not long enough by about 1/4" or a little more. So I used an EGW rail to mount the CT.

I might cut a couple inches off the front of that rail. Don't like the looks of it. Or maybe it will grow on me.

Regardless, that laser sight is awesome on the Shockwave. Great Shooter. Glad I went green.

The day I got the Shockwave that nylon strap had to go. Sharp melted frayed edges not comfortable and loop on the small side. Made a black leather one to replace that.

Here is the rail I ordered which actually fits the SW, pretty reasonable price. I did not have any issues with the forend strap on either of my SW’s with the melted ends. I will leave them in place. You might still be able to fit that in a scabbard if you choose even with that green laser on top. I have the red CT saddle lasers which suit my needs and were budget friendly since I was buying two. Enjoy that good looking SW!

Here is a mount I also purchased for a flash light or laser. I have not mounted these yet. I want to be sure if I do that the SW will still slide into the scabbard with no light mounted of course. I will use a quick release mount for the light.

Mine is not a truck gun but a safe room gun. Started out as a Mossberg Combo. Could not handle the pistol grip so I changed it out to a shockwave stock.
