Hello everyone! I haven’t seen too many firearms (or their owners), that I haven’t liked. I’m mostly a homebody and a family man. I like to hunt. I went on my very first hog hunt about three weeks ago and enjoyed it immensely. I have a modest collection of firearms and my current interest is in purchasing a suppressor/silencer in .30 cal, as well as a day/night vision scope to use on a .300 Blackout I recently acquired. I have a reloading bench and occasionally enjoy doing some load development for my bolt guns. I’m looking forward to being a member here!

Welcome!
Being from mt. Airy, I’m assuming you have ate at O’dells burgers? Best burger I’ve ever had

Welcome

I have developed an interest in reloading and hope to begin by the end of the year. I’m currently researching now for the press that best suits me.
Thank you for the welcome David! I began with a RCBS “Rockchucker”and then bought a nifty little Lee Classic Cast 4-hole turret press. I also picked up a Dillon XL650 press for my AR-15’s and 308 auto loaders. The Lee is my favorite press hands down. It’s versatility and convenience are why I like it so much. The Dillon is pretty finicky with any other die brand than it’s own. The Rockchucker is solid, strong and turns out concentric ammo, but it’s SLOWwwwwww. You are forced to do everything in stages and setup every die. With the turret, you just leave the die set in place and swap out with another turret plate and shell holder. It can also be used like a single stage press by simply removing the center drive rod.

...and my current interest is in purchasing a suppressor/silencer in .30 cal

Welcome and thanks for joining up with us here.

Hoping you find this to be the most awesome internet hangout anywhere...…….and we get to spend as much time as we like in discussing and promoting firearm interests.

I met up with a person on Sunday to complete a firearms trade, who recommended that I look this forum up.

Awesome sir...…….please let others know where you found us and invite them to join up also. We'll only get stronger with more numbers ! Thanks again for becoming part of us here.
