So I'm headed to chimney Rock the end of the month. Can anyone tell me if there are any special trout laws for lake lure and the broad River.

The Broad River has several sections that differ in regulations, so it depends on where you are fishing specifically. The vast majority of the water is "Hatchery Supported".

The GOOD thing is that the river is very heavily signed with the regulations. Because much of the water is right on the road, there are signs everywhere telling you exactly what the regulations are for that given section of water. Take limits, size limits, etc. are very well spelled out.

Also of note, Chimney Rock Park may be closed or closed to vehicular traffic due to a cave in/collapse of the parking area at the top of the mountain. Definitely worth a call before heading out to the park.

I just hiked the Boone Fork Trail on Sunday. I have to get back there and fish the section just below where the Boone Fork and Cannon Branch meet
(36°09'15.5"N 81°44'24.2"W). Many deep pools.

All suggestions are appreciated and will be taken into account. We stay in the same cabin every year. I haven't fished that area since I was about 12 years old.

Check the NC Wildlife web site and see if and when and where they will be stocking trout. May not be.any more stocking due to end.of.summer.

There's absolutely nothing in there. And there are certainly not topless college girls in there in the summer. No sir.
