MPX?

I have one. I have a few hundred rounds through it (300-400). It runs like a champ. I zeroed mine at 35 yards and it is very accurate. Not one hiccup or issue so far. The only thing I have done is put the SB Tactical collapsible brace on it. I know that the first thing people say is "Sig over priced it or it costs way too much". It is worth every cent to me. It is heavy at about 5lbs but is built like a tank and engineered like one too. The wear points have pads that are replaceable. The one thing I will fault it is the trigger. It is a combat trigger, heavy and long pull. Swap the trigger out and it is good to go.

I had the Scorpion. After a range trip, I just didn't know, and needed some cash so I sold it.

Now I'm back in a position to buy again. So a 9mm AR is what I'm looking at, it's between the MPX and a PSA/whoever build.

The AR9 setup will be a lot less money. I wish I were closer, I would let you try out my MPX. There is something about it I fell in love with. The only other PCC I am even tempted by is the 9mm Kriss Vector.

I've got a dealer friend who is going to run me numbers on a carbon fiber gen 2... it's probably going to be well above my budget though. I may just go AR9 after getting kicked in the nuts lolz

If you like a lot of magazines, then go AR9. Sig MPX mags are stupid expensive!

I bought 6 for just under $130 at the first of the year(Gen 2 mags). Do not buy them unless they are on sale. The Gen 1's were $49 for 3 on sale. Gen 2's will run Gen 1 mags but not vice versa.

To me ... personal opinion ... the MPX loses out solely for one reason to the Scorpion and that is when I tried the MPX suppressed it was way more gases back in my face than a Scorpion. The couple 9mm ARs I've messed with where not suppressed so I can't say much about them but the feel was very nicely balanced and are tempting but I gotta say it would have to be with the SBR form 1 being filed a day or 2 after it. An AR 9mm SBR (pistol setup until the stamp arrives) using Glock Mags, since I have a ton of them, would be good sense compared to the prices of a MPX (or Kriss) unless I just had the extra cash.

Can't remember...did you shoot my 9mm AR at the HTF shoot?

I like that the MPX is a gas gun. The AR9 blowbacks all seem to get beat up.
Just wish the MPX came with adjustable gas. Seems like that would help a lot with suppressors.
@MichaelHK has a really sweet one. I quite like it!

The MPX is probably my favorite 9mm sbr when I want to shoot fast. It's a very smooth shooting gun. The charging handle sucks though.

Thats a great review! Its hard not to smile when he fires with the binary trigger.

My son-in-law has an MPX and I have a Scorpion. We recently put around 200 rounds through each down at his hunting camp doing a bit of steel run and gun. The MPX has a bit less felt recoil and accuracy on steel was about the same, both very good at CQB ranges. Unfortunately his firing pin broke after 200 rounds. The tip snapped off so he was not a happy camper after that.
