Anyone here can muscadine juice? If so, would you share the recipe?

I'm not going to waste the grapes trying to make wine again, that was a mess.

I saw a recipe online where you put 1 cup of muscadines in a quart jar, add 1 cup of sugar and then fill with boiling water and put the lid on. Then boil them in a water bath for 20 minutes.

Anyone ever tried it this way?

We do it every year in addition to the wine. I love having the juice year round.

We use 2 cups grapes, one half cup of sugar, and then it's the same as what you stated.

Grapes have plenty of sugar, hence we add more grapes and use less sugar.

I'll see if I can get some pics later on.

But yeah, you won't regret it. And it keeps for YEARS if need be!

Thanks, Bill. I went back and re-read the recipe and it was 1/2 cup not a full cup. My muscadines were so big, I ended up filling the jars about 3/4 full of grapes. Added the 1/2 cup sugar per jar and filled with boiling water. I then did the water bath for 20 minutes. I made 12 quarts and I might need to make 6-8 more quarts with the grapes I have left.

When you you open a jar to use the juice, do you squeeze the grapes to get all the juice?
