Isn't it funny how your taste in gifts changes? My FIL is shipping a B'day present to me this week. And I got wood!

He must have felt bad when he saw how much tree work we need to do up there. Hope to set up a delivery time with the carrier on Friday and do some work this weekend! :D

Wow. Cool.
I could add up all my birthday presents from all my relatives, over all my life and it wouldn’t add up to that one. Heck, no where even close to a quarter of that.

Enjoy.

I got lucky with the in laws. No denying that. FIL is a good guy. And very generous in his own way. But he's old school. He still lives in the first house he bought in the 60's.

I expected to see another CZ

Well, that would have been way cooler for me. Except the spliteer will save me a ton of work. I've got a bunch of trees down already and at least 2 large maples that are dead on their feet. Going to try to get a good stock of firewood up in the hills.

A log splitter is an awesome gift. My MIL tries to be practical with gifts and usually does a good job.

Some assembly required??? Batteries not included??

Dam. We missed the part about assembling on a smooth, flat surface. That presented a couple small issues.

It works very well. Split some large pieces we had. Fire is cruising along, whisky is poured and smoker is going.

That's a good sized splitter..... you could split fairly large diameter logs with that!

What powers it?? I don't see an engine of any kind.... Don't tell me it's solar 'cause I know better.......
Theres an engine.....looks like to me anyway
