Wow, sorry that is such a large pic.

I'm considering selling my Mark III. Saving for a SuperNova tactical without the pistol grip.

Nice. I have a jonesing for the Mark IV Hunter, but keep thinking I should just grab a 22/45 instead. Can’t decide.

That was tough, they had both... Maybe I'll pick up a Hunter or Target later down the road. I have a couple other "wishes" before that though.

Ive been looking at one of these.....how does it feed?

Love it! Have one very similar. How is the red dot mounted? I’ve got the standard rail on mine and yours looks so much cleaner

His optic base plates get great reviews. There is a relief cut in the base where the ejection port lines up. I've got about 500 rounds through it and round ejection is working fine.

I'm so glad I did this and removed the rail. This guy is awesome, responded to a question within 5 minutes on Easter Sunday. Pro Tip: get the "positive stop plug screw" when you order the optic base. What a pain it was getting one after the fact, and expensive (shipping more than the screw). You only need one screw.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Can't go wrong with either in my opinion. Both solid options. I went light weight but it was a tough decision. I kind of like the 22/45 grip angle a little better but wasn't really a factor in the decision.

Mine runs like a champ. I had a few jam ups with the first couple of mags. I started tapping the mags on the table after loading or depressing the spring button on the mag so the rounds fall in place and it hasn't skipped a beat since. I'm not sure if it's even needed at this point.

I let 2 teenage girls (12-13) run it at the range, let me tell you, they put it through it's paces. Zero issues.

I got this MKII Competition Slab Side 25+ years ago, I didn't want to thread the barrel so I bought a Hunter. JPGrips.com cut the threads, moved the front site, made the thread protector and removed the Ruger Warning paragraph.

The Hunter now sports the Burris FF3

A Ruger MK is the pistol I tell folks to get when they ask, "What's the best 22 pistol?". I've hit a 10" plate at 175 yards 1st shot standing more than once. My wife, who isn't into shooting, was shocked when I did, she hit it on round 3.
Two things to add, the Volquartzen firing group, and the McFadden Ultimate Clip Loader, loads a mag in 3 seconds :D

If you have a MKII or MKIII use the MKII kit, it provides the bushing for the MKIII to remove the magazine safety and greatly improves the slop.

This bag was ~$10 from Midway and it’s great. Mags & can on one side, pistol in the middle, 2 pockets on the other side that holds a bulk box of ammo each.

Here's mine. I used a Stormwerkz mounting plate for Fastfire/vortex sights to replace the pic rail.

They are simply great guns. However; it's a rabbit hole man. I don't really want to know but I probably have $750 in mine and still looking at what I can get next...

Wow thats a lot, I just got a CZ 455 too so I'm in the process of diving down the rimfire rabbit hole lol

That does include the optic and low profile mount.

Can you co-witness the sights with that optic in place?
If so I might have to go that route with my "new to me" Mk3

I think they are a little low to co-witness. I left them on there in case of optic failure. However, a set of suppressor height sights would work. I'm going off memory but I think the dot floats above the sights.

@Pink_Vapor , who threaded the hunter model for you?
JP Grips, he has a lot of fans at RimfireCentral and I wanted it right the first time. He'd be my 1st choice a second time.

Here's a pic showing where the 'billboard' was removed. The thread protector seam isn't noticeable, a camera in good lighting picks it up.
He doesn't like to cut a Hunter for the o-ring Sparrow & other's use because it'll cut into the flutes a bit. I kind of wish I had him do that to keep the threads cleaner.
