This morning, I went down to Ed's Gun Shop in Vass, NC. @thrillhill works there, and he just got in a shipment of Spartan Blades knives for sale.

I was finally able to get my hands on several Spartan knives so I could find out which one was right for me.

After holding them all and checking out their sheaths, I decided on the all black Horkos and black kydex sheath.

I'm wearing it right now, scout style, and it feels great. I finally have a knife that I can wear on my belt horizontally and it's not uncomfortable while driving my truck.

Nice blade!

I've been carrying this horizontally in my lower back for a week... Yesterday afternoon, I decided to try carrying it in the same spot, but at a different angle.

After adjusting the sheath, I stood in front of a mirror to see how much I was printing. I pulled it out with my left hand and then started to put it back in the sheathe, BUT I forgot that I had changed the angle that it was riding in my belt.

Yep... I stabbed myself right in the tactical muffin top. The blade went in about half an inch before I even knew it was in me. I bled like a stuck pig...

I've cut a finger once or twice, but that's the first (and hopefully last) time I stabbed myself...

A trip to buy blades from @thrillhill is never a bad thing. Could someone maybe PM me a price range on the Spartans? That looks nice, but my current budget may or may not allow another blade.

There have been a few times that I've been wearing it, in public, and a stranger said, "Why do you need a big old knife like that?"

Each time I've said, "It's for self defense, and so far, I've only had to stab one person with it."

Their eyes get real big and they say, "Who?"...

And I say, "Me! On accident..."

1. What is your typical dress, and how much does it print?
2. Is it easier to conceal because your an above average size dude, or dies in conceal easy?
3. Hiw much movement is in the clip, and what size belt does the clip fit?

1. T shirt, shorts, flip flops. If I pull my shirt over it, the handle prints a bit, but I always leave the handle exposed in public. It's my understanding that in NC I am not allowed to wear a fixed blade knife fully concealed, even with my NC CHP, so I always keep the handle visible. Please tell me if this is wrong...

2. I'm 6ft tall, 250 pounds. I don't try to conceal it. I let my tshirt fall over the sheath, but the handle stays exposed.

3. The clip is great. No movement at all. It's adjustable to fit belts of different widths. I always wear a Blackhawk CQB/Riggers belt. That's what I wore every day on active duty, so I continue to wear it with jeans, khakis, shorts, etc. https://www.amazon.com/BLACKHAWK-CQ...lackhawk+belt&qid=1569275748&s=gateway&sr=8-3
