Seems like ages ago, right?
I'm headed even farther afield in a few days: Rocky Mount (unless there's snow.)
Rocky Mount? On purpose?

Yep, why? Is it awful? There's a seminar there I want to go to.Rocky Mount? On purpose?
I'm not supposed to buy any guns this year.
I moved to NC in ... august? wasn't eligible to get purchase permits for a month or so after i got out of the company-sponsored hotel and had a permanent address on file. Once eligible, i picked up 5 permits. I need to order more.It does!
Consider getting your concealed permit, no need for permission slips from the Sheriff.I moved to NC in ... august? wasn't eligible to get purchase permits for a month or so after i got out of the company-sponsored hotel and had a permanent address on file. I got my CC permit to be able to avoid getting PPP, and in my county I think 3 was the limit. Dang! Thanks! Love to. I'll be there Sunday.....will you? LOL.@Millie next time we're there at the same time you can shoot mine all you want. I've been carrying a 938 SAS for awhile now.
i still haven't filed for mine. I still have my MI license though, but that doesn't count for buying guns here.I got my CC permit to be able to avoid getting PPP, and in my county I think 3 was the limit. Dang! LoL.
If I’m not mistaken, it also doesn’t count for concealed carrying once you’ve become a NC resident.i still haven't filed for mine. I still have my MI license though, but that doesn't count for buying guns here.

Take the class, it wasn't bad, shoot your 30 rounds and eventually get the CC permit....problem solved! See how helpful I am?i still haven't filed for mine. I still have my MI license though, but that doesn't count for buying guns here.
I doubt I ever will. I like them, but why are the slides so hard to rack? It's just a weird thing with me and these guns.I agree that it is time for Millie to graduate and get a CZ.

The 2A is my permit. I carry any place I choose to go & am way too old to change. I don't pay any attention to questionably elected bureaucrats silly rules.i still haven't filed for mine. I still have my MI license though, but that doesn't count for buying guns here.
I might get a long gun, eventually. I've run across some I like. lol.I thought you were gonna get a long gun? Handguns are like a-holes everyone has one and don't think theirs stinks.
All of my guns have recoil I can handle, so I'm good on that. LoL. Been working hard on hand and arm strength. That’s fair...I guess it’s something you get used to. That same “pain” is made up for by a (in my opinion) smoother recoil impulse.

Though I have to say, the .45 is a little bit of a handful shooting with my left hand....but I can do it.
But I'm not ruling out a CZ at some point, they're sexy. lol. I just have about 4 guns ahead of one on the list!
lol. Yes, I could probably get used to it, and I may have one some day, the ones I've shot were awesome. They are, for sure. They brought me over to their side pretty hard core. One thing I have found though, is that in real use, having to rack the slide doesn't really happen as often as I think. Once its loaded, it stays that way until I fire it. When I fire it until empty, the slide stays open.
The only time the slide really even dawns on me is when I am at the range or shooting a competition (where you have to show clear). But even at the range, I load, rack, then shoot mag after mag and never really drop the slide.
So, while I think them being more difficult to rack is a solid objection, I do think it can be overstated at times.
Oh, and you get used to it.

One of those is currently in ~5th place on the want list. It might be a while!
I wouldn't own one myself but you do you. I've repaired two now that went full auto because of a design flaw with the sear retainer failing. You have to be very careful when you strip them and reassemble. Easily damaged without even knowing. A 6-7rd burst of 9mm out of that little thing is a good way to shoot yourself in the face of it gets away from you...
Sig 938, G21, G48, another 1911, and then the CZ. In that order, probably. lol.Ok, what's your top 5 picks?
One what?
938. The gun the thread is about, correct? Unless I missed something and @Millie already changed her mind.
I got to shoot a Sig P938 (?) yesterday and I think I fell in love! This is terrible news. lol.
I'm not supposed to buy any guns this year. Dang it!
I'm going to see if Jim's has one I can rent and really give it a good work-out, like at least 150 rounds.
I could see myself carrying that gun!
Ok, I heard the call...Sig 938, G21, G48, another 1911, and then the CZ. In that order, probably. lol.
Go ahead....say it!
Ahh...gotcha...you cool fam.
Ok, I heard the call...
Hard as it will be for you to believe, I’m asking this question seriously and without any preconceived notions...
Would you explain the motivation for each of those 5?
