Ever lose something in the deep freezer? Well, I found a package of boneless chicken breasts that I'd vacuum packed in 2010. They looked like the day they were packaged. Thawed them and cooked last night. That was the oldest frozen meat I've ever cooked. The meat looked like fresh, the tenderness and flavor just like it was bought that day. I am alive today, so it was safe. I wouldn't have intentionally stored this for 7 years, but think it is interesting how perfectly vacuum packing preserved this meat. Frozen store packaged chicken breasts are freezer burned in a week.
