My mother in law is in the ICU and has turned septic, causing her kidney problems. Current prognosis is not good, although not definite either.
Please pray for my mother in laws recovery. Please pray for my wife and her immediate family to have the strength they will need.

Between school, hospital, juggling a wife who is falling apart and father in law who is scared but doesn't know how to say it, I finally got a moment to breathe.
Here's where we are:

Monday afternoon: Linda had been sick with a stomach bug for a couple of days. In a matter of a few hours, fever spiked, she started vomiting blood, and rescue squad got her to hospital.
Got her semi stable and to the ICU almost immediately. On a ventilator and her kidneys shut down, but not into complete failure yet. Bloodwork show multiple issues starting with an E. Coli infection that has turned her septic.

Tuesday: Largely no change. Started treatment option numbers two and three. Doc said the next 24-48 were crucial.

This morning: Linda is semi responsive to treatment. Her kidneys are functioning as they should now, however no change with her breathing yet.
Doc and nurse have figured out that out of everybody there, they can shoot me straight. Places her at 50-50 right now. Cautions me that the kidney success does not guarantee overall success and there *may* be some difficult decisions coming in the near future.

The damage done by the E Coil and sepsis was too much for Linda to overcome.
Yesterday, the family made the decision to remove her from life support and let nature take its course.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother In Law.
 
Sorry for the loss, I know the pain of losing a mother. Praying for strength for all of you.

Sorry for your loss Mr. and Mrs. Draco88. But I am glad you will be their for your Dad. He will need you. Enjoy your time together as it is always too short.
