Been there.

One of the most beautiful places on God's green Earth that I have ever been blessed to visit.

Anybody here who is trying to figure out where to go for a vacation sometime would do well to consider Yellowstone. I promise you, it'll stay with you the rest of your life.

Great pictures, 11B. I especially liked the picture of the vent. (How'd you get so close to the speed goat?)

My son and DIL are coming back today after spending a week in Yellowstone. They are already making plans to go back next summer.

It gave zero F's about me being there.

I have a TON more but about to board a flight. Why yes, I WAS screened "randomly"

Wife and I did a week long horse back trip into the Yellowstone back country - Fan Creek / Sportsmans Lake area - several years ago. Without a doubt the best trip ever. None of the crowds and touristy stuff, all of the beauty and seclusion we could want.

Oh, and 16" cutthroat trout on every cast.

Definitely on my list of to-visit places.

My dad and uncle and I took off right after I retired from the Army and spent about six weeks fishing and exploring out there. We covered Wyoming, Idaho and Montana just fishing and camping. Great time with the two old guys!

Agree!!!

My Father and I took a fly fishing trip to the Jackson area many years ago. Stayed at a ranch just outside the Park's south entrance near Moran Junction. Took a day trip in the park as was guided by the rance. Saw only the touristy things for we were part of a group. Still beautiful though. One of my favorite memories was taking a several hour horseback ride into the Grand Teton Nat Park to fly fish some very very remote parts of the north branch of the Buffalo Fork river. I was handed a Ruger Alaskan 44mag to carry (since no one else wanted to carry it) as back up to the ranch hand who was also carrying one in case we came across any aggressive bears. I hope to get back out to the area to fish some more!!
