Myrtle Beach Gun & Knife Show. October 28 & 29

I went one time many, many years ago. There was one guy there with a table full of high end double rifles. He made the show and even had a few buyers. We were talking in the high 5 digit's $$ too.

gonna be down that way toward the end of the month. We will see if I can get a pass from the powers that be for that one

I'll be there selling off a bunch of accumulated stuff/guns
I like this show, it draws some unique vendors and it seems many part time guys and generally a few private guys thinning the herd, not that the sos tables and tables of news goods/guns isn't there but generally some older collectible as well

You see all those beat-up re-arsenaled RR 1911A1s that don’t go below 2,000?

How was the show? I was going but the lazy kicked in after I started thinking about the hour drive and 501 traffic between Conway and the beach!

Lot less people this year. Almost everyone was a dealer with only new products. Lots of forgers got kicked out. Only ARs I saw that weren’t modern were two beat up and damaged uppers, an electroless nickel SP1 for $3,200 no trades, and an SP1 that was shot out and had a welded 10 round magazine from California for $1,700.

Tell me more about the forgers.

Those dealers need to go back to Commifornia.

Heard there were several, but two I saw personally. Both making fake U.S. Army Colt M1911A1s. First one was just selling obvious fakes and told to get out, other was buying up all the Norinco 1911s he could find then bragging about how he made a fortune last year turning them into Colt clones, selling them as real for $2,500 each then having people sign a bill of sale that has “Sold as a historical replica only” in microscopic writing. He got kicked out of the show and the Colt Collector’s Association.

The guy told you that he was making Colts out of Norincos? My good friend is on the board of the Colt Collector's Association and he was at the show yesterday. I'll see him this afternoon and see what he knows.
