I recently finished my third P80 build, and I took it to the range yesterday to test fire it. Now it's gonna be my new church gun...

This is the Compact Longslide Hybrid frame. The grip is the same as a G19, but it accepts all of the full size slides...

I decided to go with a G17 slide, threaded barrel, and TiN coated everything to get the "gold" effect.

My inspiration was, "If the Pope carried a handgun, what would it look like? "

Help me think up a creative name for it...

Vaticanizer
Popeenator
Holy Glock
Palpenator
:D

That creation deserves a schmancy name! How about something latin-ish?

Defensor Fidei - (Defender of the Faith)
Palatinus - (Latin root for Paladin)
Aegis - (Protection)

or just "The Crusader"

Love the Gerber Combat Folder, had one for 10 yrs till I lost it on a C130 at night here in Astan this year.

CD

This one is a recent replacement. I was issued one for my first tour in Iraq. It was an awesome knife, but a couple years later, I traded it to a Squid for a Benchmade. Then, a year or two later, I gave the Benchmade to a Royal Navy Sailor in Africa.

I always missed the Combat Folder.

You can get a new one on Amazon for about $130. That's where my new one came from...

I would call it the cracker. With a ejection side cut that thin it won’t take long.
Be nice... You already told me that in PM when you were trying to get me to buy one of your slides... Making fun of my new gun is not going to get you future business.

Well, we don’t offer that service so sounds like you wouldn't be using my services anyhow. Also to be clear, I never once offer to sell or service you anything in any shape or form.

let’s not pretend you rejected anything from me, because it was never offered.
You're right. I showed you a pic of this slide and asked if you could make something similar. You said no because you thought the cut was too close to the ejection port and it would probably fail.

I thanked you for your info and I bought the slide from the other company anyway.

Now, I received it, built it, and I created a thread to show it off. I'm proud of it.

Why did you feel the need to come to my thread and stomp on it? Are you so petty that you feel the need to stomp on other people's stuff in a public forum? What purpose does that serve?

If you don't have anything nice to say then keep your mouth shut and mind your own business.

100% good. Already told you, you can do your thing however you want.

Fine... I'll copy paste our conversation for everyone to see. Is that a good way for me to do my thing?

You say you never offered to sell me anything?

I posted a wanted thread to buy a blank G17 slide here. You replied and offered to sell me a slide. Here's that thread for everyone to see... https://www.carolinafirearmsforum.com/index.php?threads/wtb-gen3-glock-17-slide.52115/#post-913294

So, I PMd you and we had the following conversation...

Hi bud. I've been looking at custom slide cuts for a week now and I've decided that I want to get this one done.

    https://shop.tacticalshit.com/glock-shepherd-2-slide-cut

But I'm not going through Tactical Shit. TS is just the distributor. I called the maker directly, Wise Lite Arms, and they said they will cut and cerakote it for me directly for $339.00 ($60 cheaper than TS).

The problem is that Wise Lite doesn't keep blank slides in house. They expect the customer to supply the slide and pay $339.00.

So that's why I'm looking for a cheap Glock 17 slide to send to Wise Lite.

But, if you can find the CNC plans to do the Shepherd II cut online, then I'd happily pay you to make it for me instead.

    What do you think?

    Thanks,
    Jessie

We don’t offer that and wouldn’t. Cutting that close to the ejection side is 100% nothing we would ever offer after seeing people with cracked slides.

I would buy this slide and send it in if that’s what your after.

Thanks Mark. I didn't realize that the shepherd slide was cut so close to the ejection port until you mentioned it.

Is it possible for you to cut something similar, but don't cut out the window between the ejection port and the arm of the cross? That should leave plenty of steel around the ejection port, right?

I just found your website. Your slide milling and laser engraving looks fantastic.

Would you be willing to mill a cross that's similar to the one I linked, but not cut so close to the port?

Honestly it’s just a design we just don’t offer.

Understood. Thank you for the advice. I appreciate it.

    Jessie

Then you come on my thread, talk crap on my gun, and call me a liar. I just put it out for everybody to see.

Again, I ask, why are you here starting this nonsense? What is the point?

Yeah, thanks for the heads up

This isn’t you. You didn’t say this? End of conversation.

I tried to drop this but now we can all see. I tried to sell you nothing. I tried to service you nothing.

I don’t understand you. Your crazier than me.
Hahaha!

That's probably what the company was thinking when they made this slide and engraved "Shepherds we shall be" on the slide. That's a line from a prayer in the movie...

When you say non logical group, you mean the whole forum?

When you really don't give a crap because you really don't need to, you don't need to say "I don't give a crap and you don't matter, so I am walking away."

You just walk away.

by the way, your remarks about "non logical" are amusing seeing how you have displayed all the emotional self control and logical cohesiveness of an 11 year old girl in her first menstrual cycle here.

Who doesn't appreciate the eloquent way of saying "you little b...."

Can you give me an "idea" about the cost of a project like this???? Only asking about the slide group. Thanks!
Yes sir! There are several companies that take blank slides, mill them, cerakote them, and they mail them to you to assemble. You just tell them what size slide, what gen, and what color to cerakote it.

Look here for ideas:

https://www.boogeymancustoms.com/complete-uppers

http://steelcityarsenal.com/custom-glock-slides/

https://zaffiriprecision.com/product-category/glock-slides/

Just for the record... I hated the slide myself (lol), and I don't think anyone on this forum as a worse track record of behaving badly in a forum. It ain't like I am some example, or think I am a good model.

This list is actually relevant to another post I have about how I screwed up my slide on my Sig 228. Tnx

This is the company that made my Cross Slide. But they have some other really cool slides...

http://www.wlarms.com/category-s/147.htm

The problem is that they want you to send them a blank slide and the money to mill it... So that's expensive if you don't already have glock slides laying around.

At Zaffiri and Steel City, you just pay them the money and they mill out their own blank slide to send to you. That makes it cheaper.

Nice pistol. I’d like to have simple St. James cross on mine.
