We are currently on vacation in Nashville and happened to see an advertisement for Midget Wrestling at the Redneck Riviera bar. We went on a whim and it was a hilarious good time. I am sure it is viewed as politically incorrect, but I could give a s**t less. It was the funniest thing I have personally witnessed in a long time. The wrestlers seemed to be having a good time and the crowd was lively but well behaved. It got even better when the owner of the bar, John Rich of the C/W duo Big and Rich showed up. He was ultra friendly and seemed to enjoy the show as well.

I had never been to Nashville, but I plan to come back. This is a happening place with lots of stuff to see and do and eat. We found lots of good barbecue, music, and sightseeing. The Country Music Hall of Fame and the Midget Wrestling were the best parts, the only disappointment was not being able to get tickets to the Predators preseason game on Monday night. Anyone looking for a fun vacation destination should give Nashville some consideration.

The Johnny Cash museum was worth it. Otherwise I felt like it was a Universal Studios for “country music” videos.

Oh...the American Pickers shop is worth a stop by, too.

As in “sold out” or some other reason?
We couldn’t get 4 tickets together and the wives didn’t want to be separated. I also didn’t feel excited about paying $71 + tax per ticket for a preseason game. It was a madhouse, Nashville does love their hockey. We are planning a guys only trip some time during the season.

We did stop by Antique Archaeology and all the quirky places in Germantown. The pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland and the riverfront was fun.
