NC Cherokee County is declared a gun sanctuary

Too bad Trump couldn’t declare America a gun sanctuary...
He could but then they’d get some libtard freak in a silly black robe in HI to say that it’s void and people would believe that the edicts of the a$$clown are actually binding on the nation and backed by some real power. o_O

I guess it would then have to be taken up by the SC. kavenaugh would prob be the deciding vote. What better way for him to thank the Democrats for their kind treatment they gave him then to side with the 2nd Amendment..

As I read this, it just became impossible to obtain a CHP or PPP in Cherokee county. Curious unintended consequence.

IF that article is correct according to N.C. Constitution Article 1 Section 30. Concealed weapons are OUT in Cherokee. What think ya'll??

The contract has already been broken (by the politicians sand their ilk). Once broken, it is no longer binding on the People. “Law” is not absolute. The threat of violence on the part of those who are paid with money stolen from you and sworn to use violence against you should you choose to be free, is real. Their monopoly on violence is not.

Break the spine of the political / legal system is what I say.

Now what needs to happen is someone to buy or build a full auto firearm without saying "mother may I" and see how that plays out.

If the county fully backs it, the person becomes restricted to Cherokee county to avoid arrest.e

If the county backs down, well....

Any volunteers?

Unless this is a statewide thing, (or almost) I don't believe I would jump out there just yet.

Who decides what's an infringement level law?

Can I move there and make my own machine guns?
One thing in this does stand out to me. Who should have a better reason to voice their opinion on Gun Control than the Cherokee Nation?

No no no!

This ordinance says that the county resources won’t be used for enforcement of some unspecified laws, it has no bearing on what an ATF agent could, and would, do.

"Moreover, the criminal misuse of firearms is due to the fact that criminals do not obey laws and this is not a reason to abrogate or abridge the unalienable, constitutionally-guaranteed rights of law abiding citizens. The last protectors of the US Constitution are We the People of the United States and our ability to fulfill that role successfully rests on our Second Amendment rights."

This is the part that the rest of our lawmakers need to understand.

Before the state law was changed to keep the names of CHP holders private, the sheriff in Cherokee County told the newspaper out there "NO" when they demanded a list of CHP holders in the county. Probably within 6 months state law was changed to keep this private.

It's not the Cherokee nation that passed this. It is Cherokee County, Murphy is the County seat.
