Match date June 10th 2017
We are weeks away from what is going to be the biggest 2-Gun Rimfire match Durham Pistol & Rifle club has seen.
This match will be 8 stages, 4 pistol and 4 rifle. Very fast paced.

Held at Durham Pistol & Rifle Club
3973 S Jim Minor Rd, Haw River, NC 27258

$30 entry fee
Youth & Juniors shoot free

Check-In begins at 8:00am
Safety Meeting 8:45am
Shooting will start at 9:00am.

I have been putting together some great door prizes for this match!
I need everyone to make sure they clear their calendar for June 10th!
We will have Shooting, Awards, Door Prizes, and Pizza.

What's the fee for spectators? I've been tempted to give this a try bit wanted to check it out first.

No fee. Just come check it out. You will regret not signing up though. DPRC 2 gun rimfire has a YouTube channel and there are lots of NSSF 2gun rimfire match videos online.

No I won't lol. I've barely touched a gun in several years. I'd like to at least hot the range before making a total ass of mysf in public.

As @JimP42 said it's free, but if you're going to come out you might as well sign up the prize table at this match is going to be great.
I have plenty of guns and mags for you to borrow if you need that.

You don't have to worry about doing that at this match. It is a great family friendly atmosphere. There isn't a better platform around for introducing people into shooting sports and competition shooting. No one at these matches will ever make fun of you for how you shoot. Sign up and come have a blast, many of us there will be happy to let you use our guns if needed. Plus like Chris said the prize table will have a lot great items. Prize table is done by drawing, not by your placement in the competition. Entry is 30.00, for that price you will have a great time, meet like minded people, make new friends, get lunch and have a chance of winning way more than 30.00 worth of items from the prize table!

I may take you up on that! Let me think on it. Thanks bro.

Chilly is the man. His guns are also the best you could want for such a match.

But Chilly will be having more fun than us. He's gonna be out on the ocean catching fish longer than my leg and hanging out with Billy.

I'm just a little jealous.

View attachment 11310More sponsors have been added to the prize table.
Spread the word, we have people signed up from New Jersey down to Georgia.
Let's have a record at Durham Pistol & Rifle.

Looks like 77 shooters are signed up so far! Looks like you're gonna hit 80 no problem!

Haha I sure hope the weather and ocean cooperates with us!

Had a great time. Match ran smooth for almost double the normal amount of shooters and adding extra stages.

Great job Cris!

I missed this one, but do you have a link to the rules? I've never shot a competition before and wanted to check those out.

Every second Saturday. Go to Dprc.org, click on 2gun rimfire on the right and read all about it.

Wasn't sure that was current since it lists the entry as $15 and the rules seemee cursory.

State games match was higher since it was 8 stages (instead of 5-6), included pizza lunch, and a lot of random draw prizes (sponsors donated many thousands of $ in prizes). Regular monthly matches are still $15.

The rules are pretty simple. Bring a 22 pistol and rifle (and loaners can be arranged) zeroed at about 7 and 12 yards and about 250 rounds that work in your guns. Open is dots and limited is irons. Be safe and do what the RO says to when he says to. Shoot the steel plates as fast as you can from low ready without missing much. You get 5 strings on each stage, drop the slowest, 10 rounds per string, 2 sec add per miss, 30 sec time if you miss stop plate entirely. Stages are 5-7 plates. Fast and fun, and family friendly.

I probably missed something but that's it in a nutshell. Hopefully that agrees with what the website says - I haven't looked at it in years :)

And when you do show up, say hi - I'm a squad RO nearly every month.

Well, I'm halfway there :)

Got a 10/22 I'm setting up for this, probably the September match since it's hotter than the hinges of Hell this summer.

Thanks for all the info guys.

Does anyone shoot Cowboy/girl? I could probably find a revolver to borrow and I would love to give my pump Rossi a workout.

If you shoot cowboy, I will also.
Keep in mind that a 6 shot revo is not really the ideal tool. A 10 shot 617 is the ticket.

Yep, I'd either need a pair or a 10 shot by the rules. I'll see what I can scare up.

If you need to borrow equipment, I have got you covered. You just need .22 ammo.
I have plenty of semi autos for people to use.

... I have a couple new ones on the way.

I heard that through the rimfire rumor mill. We've got a close watch on your gun collection.

Gonna want to finger those as soon as you receive them!
