One of my neighbors is obviously getting a new roof since several pallets of shingles were delivered earlier in the week. Yesterday we had torrential downpours of rain off and on through the afternoon. When the first one hit about 2:30 he and his wife spend a good 15 minutes in the pouring rain covering the shingles with a tarp. Is that not nice of him or what???

Yes it is, very nice of them. My mother also did a good deed. Many years ago one winter in NH I left a gallon of mixed antifreeze outside. She told me to make sure I brought it in as she didn't want it to freeze.o_O

I decided then to just accept good deeds...

Which part?

All of it, all-of-it. I thought it was a joke at first.

They're shingles. They're his shingles. He can cover them up or let them get rained upon.

This guy is a WV inbred, I have a feeling his wife may be his sister or cousin...
Whoa, whoa, whoa ... that's hittin' a little low there. We mountain inbreds don't even use shingles! (Though sometimes we do get them.)

Hold my beer, I can top that.

Not too long before my son could get his driver's license and I was still the household Uber driver, I was giving him and his friend a ride back to his friend's house and we were almost there when the thermostat started to climb towards the red. I asked his friend whether they had any coolant I could use. His reply? "No, we only have antifreeze."
