Netflix-Extraction

Meh is all I have to say. The action was good but aside from that the story line was junk.

How do you think it was junk? Genuinely curious.

I know the original "graphic novel" Cuidad takes place elsewhere, I liked the story of the ethical ambiguity of having to protect a drug lord's son from a rival drug lord; not to mention, having to fight your friend who wants to kill the kid, too.

A Leupold HAMR makes an appearance. Odd bit of kit.

There’s a moment in the one-shot when a character has a contact-induced malfunction and has to rack a slide off their belt to continue fighting.

Suppressors sounded somewhat correct (no “pteew” noise, rifle sounded noticeably different than a PCC).

Nameless cannon fodder fights through gunshot wounds until put down by headshots.

None of the actors seemed to be phoning it in.

There are a couple of goofs. A pair of coupled Pmags show up out of nowhere, midfight (wasn’t on the chest rig or belt and it wasn’t a pick-up). A long distance rifle shot is heard from downrange as “distant shot - delay - impact” when the order should be reversed (rifle rounds are two-and-a-half to three times faster than sound).

It wasn’t a great movie, but it was fun schlocky action made with a decent amount of care and attention.

Watched it tonight. Not too bad at all, enjoyed the BJJ. This one was miles ahead of the usual garbage they put out now.
Except for the last 5 seconds, wtf ?

I did not go back and rewatch, but was there a malfunction or was he out? I saw that and thought it was a reload, but didnt think there was a way to reload as he was.

Mentioned upstream somewhere - Producer hasnt ruled out a 2nd movie.

And, I wouldnt be upset if they did. Im sure it'd be much better than the 2nd and 3rd John Wick

How did Thor have the cell phone # of his opponent? He just calls him up and all is forgiven after killing his teammates?

Am I right when it looked like pistol rounds were penetrating vests?

The same way Luke survived the trench run.
Or John Wick fell of a roof and walked away.
Or Clint Eastwood charged a gang of bandits without a scratch.
The same way Frodo made it to Mordor.
The same way Bruce Lee survived in Enter the Dragon.

Plot armor. As has been discussed, movies would suck if they were all realistic.

I watched it. Hemsworth played sandbox-John Wick in India mixed with a little Marky Mark from Lone Survivor... I found it incredibly entertaining right up until the final bullet. Lame.

Guess I'm a borderline sociopath... But the juice isn't worth the squeeze in these "save the kid" movies. Tons of assets and the death of a bunch of people, many good, to save/not kill some asshole kid that the world could just as well do without...

Pretty good shoot 'em up, IMO. Thor & Indian drug lord's 2IC coulda got the kid out easy, if they hadn't spent so much time trying to kill each other. Lol.

I'm game for a sequel.

Yeah...I reckon you may be...I’d pay every cent I have to save one of my children. I’d never have a “well, is it really worth X amount of dollars?” discussion. And mercenaries gonna get paid no matter who the shoot, so if someone is willing to pay, then there ya go.

Watched it tonight, and enjoyed it.
If I want reality I'll watch a documentary,
This one was just a good old fashioned shootem up.
If a two hour movie seems 30 minutes long you know it's been entertaining.
