Never forget...

I lived in Pearl Harbor as a kid as my Dad was stationed there in the 70's. I knew about the history of the base, but never really appreciated it until years later.

Hand salute to a long time friend of family & Pearl Harbor survivor, Doug May. A USN veteran; he survived the attack, WW2 and eventually settled in Hawaii where he lived the rest of his life.

I'm reading an historical account of the war in the Pacific by General Kenney, who led the air war against the Nips. The atrocities that they committed against innocent men, women, and children pales to the bombing of their cities and the nuclear frying of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They deserve what they got.

IIRC FRANCE refused to side with France. Go stuff your lie-hole with a croissant and ask yourself why it's not a broetchen.

...lest we not forget. We must teach our children also. Schools damn sure ain’t gonna do it. If they do it’s what THEY want them to know about the war, not factual at all. Kinda like a movie “based on a true story” we’ll kinda follow along and make up what we want.

Fire in the sky. Tell me it didn't happen.
