Never Forget...

An amazing generation indeed- my own father included.

Just can't imagine the same depth of conviction and commitment on such a large scale that these men exhibited.

I'm proud to be of the same DNA as these men and women, there is no reservation or apology for my bloodline. If they looked forward to the future and judged my life, I would want them to express the same sentiment that I feel toward them.

My Father and his twin brother landed at Casablanca, went across North Africa, through Sicily into the boot and all the way to Berlin. I often wonder what he would think of the state of the union now. He came home and ran a 4 car cab company, a whore house, and delivered bootleg whiskey. When asked about what he did for a living once he replied...I am in the travel and entertainment business. I was raised around him and all his WW2 cronies. It was wonderful!
