So KUSA announced a 103 clone priced at an MSRP of about $1K

Then today PSA announces the same, but with an MSRP of $699.99

I'm still dubious of the overall quality of both, but this:

has me kind of excited.

I want them both to be good, I want them both to be as good as any import.

Guess we'll see how things pan out for both. Arsenal is going to have to rethink their business model if we have two American manufacturers cranking out more affordable AK's.

WORD!

Oh but they are. Just wait for the new USA-made AK-20 at SHOT that literally no one asked for...

Their indignation at the social media response to that thing was pretty funny.

...but you’re not getting ^that^ for $699. :p

The FN barrel is only $100 more.
That’s all I was saying. :D

PSA AK-103 Klone MSRP $699.99
Including a Fixed Stock / PSA Cold Hammer Forged Chrome Lined Barrel

PSA AK-103 Klone– Premium $799.99
Fixed Stock / FN Cold Hammer Forged Chrome Lined Barrel with 4340 Aircraft Quality Lead Star Hammer Forged Front Trunnion

PSA AK-103 Klone SF MSRP $799.99
Side Folding / PSA Cold Hammer Forged / Chrome Lined Barrel

PSA AK-103 Klone SF- Premium MSRP $899.99
Side Folding Stock / FN Cold Hammer Forged Chrome Lined Barrel with 4340 Aircraft Quality Lead Star Hammer Forged Front Trunnion

Never thought about it, but I assume MSRP is what they’ll price it at for website and in-store sales? A dealer could buy one and sell it for less if they wanted?

I'm suspicious of anything PSA, I'll bide my time to see if they hold up, 47/74 Shooters Union will ring it out eventually......then I'll make up my mind

Arsenal is a known quantity, and they make quality firearms, PSA has to meet, or beat them as far as I'm concerned

You do know PSA's GF3 and AK-V both made it through Rob's 5,000-round gauntlet, right?

I don't own any PSA gun in 7.62x39 but I'm relatively confident of their abilities by now. My AK-V has been flawless. And that lifetime warranty is pretty nice. Meanwhile, I've got an Arsenal in the basement that won't cycle due to a likely improperly sized gas port. Also, they're hen's teeth these days unless you're willing to buy secondhand or have a spare $3,500 lying around for Gunbroker.

Also, didn't really realize this until tonight, and now I can't see it without being annoyed. Hopefully this a pre-production oversight, but surely PSA can do a better job of mimicking the folder button?! Lame!

I've read about Arsenals having issues, but every one I've read about was made right by Arsenal..........

The floppy rear sight issue with my PSA makes the whole thing junk to me. Rob Ski even mentioned the floppy sight in his videos. When I tried to add tension to the spring, the rear sight block damn near cracked. This is a problem that doesn’t exist on a WASR. Your rifle should not be worse than a WASR.

I had a brand new 104 that showed up with a cracked FSB. Arsenal did replace it, but only after I took time off work to make it to a UPS hub the couple hours a day they are open and paid out of pocket to ship and ensure it.

Put me off buying anything else from them.

Krinkov. Want! But that PMAG looks super dumb. I wish they'd ditch PMAGs in favor of an import or proprietary AK magazine(s). PSA proved with the AK-V it can build its own high quality mag. Would love to see a cloned plum or even ((10)) 5.45 mag!

But you're right, @charliesgrave ... it's easier and less expensive to cut steps and just buy a few more train cars full of Magpul mags.

I ordered one of the GF3's today in plum. $589 was a hard price to beat and the few people I know that have them haven't had any issues. Time will always tell though.

I feel like if Palmetto made a 5.56 AK that uses the 74 magwell size, Magpul might want to jump on board with a 5.56 AK magazine. A little tweak to their 5.45 design and they’d be good to go. They would have lots of buyers for the new mags, plus people that already own Arsenals and Beryls. I hate the way AR mags look in an AK.

A retailer of firearms has a rough road to travel in this state. Home base to PSA. They are bad JuJu to retailers.

That just seems like a fantastic partnership waiting to happen, if it isn't already happening behind closed doors right now. PSA is working on Chinese spiker clones, for Christ's sake.

If we can seriously envision a nation 10 years from now full of reliable mass-produced, lifetime-warranted, American-made AK clones - representing several combloc nations and including everything from subguns and krinks to RPKs - then surely we can get some more cool mag varieties here!

More pics of what PSA is planning on producing, including their spiker clone.
The AR-15 magwell looks even more disgusting than the Yugo versions.

Robski at the PSA booth with PSA rep talking about an SVD in the works.

If they can pull this off, and up their quality to the same level as imports, they're going to own the AK market.

Rob Ski's face, man...

What I'd give to feel that happy lol.

In other news, Century is making a 5.45 pipe bomb, and fear mongering about imports.
