"America's Home for Racing will become America's Home for All Things Automotive in 2019, as Charlotte Motor Speedway rolls out new events and tweaks its current schedule to bring even more full-throttle excitement and entertainment to an already action-packed event lineup at the iconic superspeedway.
New for 2019, Charlotte Motor Speedway will host monthly "cruise-in" style events as part of the growing Cars and Coffee phenomena that's become a global sensation.
Joining more than a dozen similar clubs hosting events across the country and around the world, Cars and Coffee Concord happenings will take place on the third Saturday of each month (excluding May and October) beginning next February.
From 7 to 10 a.m. in the speedway's Fan Zone will be transformed as car owners and enthusiasts gather to celebrate their shared passion for cars and showcasing their prized classics, customs and hot rods. There is no charge for car owners or spectators to participate.
"Whether we're racing them through the high-banked corners of the oval, watching them top 330 mph at the drag strip or celebrating their history and diversity during AutoFair, cars are in our DNA," said Charlotte Motor Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Greg Walter. "Through our Cars and Coffee program, we hope to build on an already strong car community locally and create a place where those who share our passion can come and celebrate all things cars."
Fans can sign up to be part of the Cars and Coffee Concord club at carsandcoffee.com/clubs/concord or visit Charlotte Motor Speedway's website for more information.
Just wondering if there will be an admission charge.
