Got motivated to improve my wood storage capabilities weekend. Not so motivated as to actually rebuild the woodshed (yet) but enough to build a portable holder as a proof of concept. Worked out pretty well, will probably build more when the weather doesn't suck so bad.

Didn't have any reclaimed pressure treated stuff so I grabbed some new from Home Depot, but tried to use as much as I could reclaimed that wasn't touching the ground. The sheet of tin is some I saved from our old barn roof. Works perfectly.

That looks great, Jayne!

I've needed to do this for some time. Thanks for the reminder!

Tack some nails at the top and hang a tarp as a door to keep it dry from driving rain

Looks good.

Mine are set atop concrete pavers. It is easy to level the rack and it keeps the legs off the ground. Maybe not needed with treated lumber.

I would build enough racks to separate for size, or add another shelf to this rack to stack the smaller pieces.

I also split everything before I stack it, most often it splits easier when freshly cut.

Your going to have to move a LOT of little wood to get to the big stuff on the bottom.....

I won't be using that wood for a few years, that tree was just dropped last week. When the main woodshed is empty I'll be rebuilding it and then restacking all the wood in more sensible piles.
