I’m pushing 70, moved to NC over 30 years ago from the Peoples Republic of Maryland (laughingly known as the “FREE State”), was a Bell System man, then a middle and high school teacher in Lee, Wake and Johnson Co’s.
I was a vocal supporter of the Constitution and Bill of Rights in my classes and, after leaving WCPSS, I would post used targets in my classrooms to spark discussions. I retired 3 years ago before all that woke crap got really started.
I support firearms education and took two of my three kids to Project Appleseed to be trained (unlike my dad who just said to never touch his guns- consequently I missed by an inch shooting my best friend in the hand with a .22). We have all done several IDPA shoots together. Great fun there!
I bought my eldest daughter an AR-15 for her birthday, which really impressed her husband while they courted.
Looking forward to digging in to this site, as we live in perilous times.
