My kids (who are now in their 30s) gave me a $100 gift cert to Fuquay Gun & Gold for a recent birthday and yesterday I made the trip to see what mischief I could get into with it.

I've been wanting to snag a Taurus G2 for a couple of years just because it's such a good value. They go for about $250 new. They had one for $199 used, and they were knocking $50 off all used firearms, kind of a clearance thing. So.. I walked out of there with the pistol and two mags for $60 out of my pocket.

On top of that, the tag said it came with two mags but when they found the box the extra mag was missing so they threw in a new mag off their retail display that was marked $33. I don't think most gun shops would have done that, since it was used they probably just would have said "sorry". So FG&G really stepped up and they couldn't have made much if anything on that deal. So thanks to them and whohooo new toy.

Good score. I got mine for $210 new. I can hit 6" plates with it from about 30 yards lol. It's a good gun, I keep it in the console of the car at all times. I need to start carrying it some
That's nothing.

I can hit 30" plates from 6 yards with mine!

Nice. I haven't shot it yet but I'm hoping it shoots well for me. I've had the Millennium Pro in both 9mm and 45 and liked them. Yes I've seen them as low as that retail but that was a while back, I'm not sure if they've creeped up a little or what, but $250 is what FG&G's price is new.
