Good Morning,
I found the link to this forum on another forum. I am on a couple of other forums also. More of a lurker than a poster.
With that being said, I live in Fayetteville, am always looking for new friends, and more knowledge.
Made the big move (escape) to NC from Mass back in 2001. Raising 4 daughters here, no reason to return to the peoples republic.

Howdy from Davidson County!

Welcome to the forum,

Welcome! Lots of good folks around here.

Greetings and welcome to CFF! Happy to have you here.

@325rto , Glad to have you. Lived in your area for a couple years on Pine Lake Dr. Liked it there, but the summers were hot. Hope you can find a spot to sit, drink some iced tea and laugh at all of us. Welcome aboard.

Thanks. Fayetteville, or Fayettenam, is what you make of it. Believe it or not, my old neighborhood in Boston is worse than 'Fayettenam'.
I like it here, you couldn't pay me enough to go back to Mass.
BTW: I own and operate a small one man service company. The main focus is residential and commercial HVAC. But, on the commercial side, I offer other services such as lighting, ballasts, scheduled air filter changes.
So that being said, bring on the heat.
That was my shameless plug for the day.

Hahaha. I am in Providence RI at the moment and have been going back and forth from Providence to Newport just checking the place out. Looks like small pockets of wealth surrounded by desolation . Kind of like everywhere else I guess. I noticed no gun shops of note per population count. The ratio seems very, very low. That is another reason I could never live here.

Welcome from just south of you in lower Robeson County and thanks for joining up with us here.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy

Welcome neighbor, I decided to stay in NC when I retired from the Army instead of moving back to NH. Just too cold in the winters for my old broke body, it's June and my Dad said he was getting snow last week in northern VT! We lived in Fayetteville when I was active but moved out a little further after I retired, it's a little slower paced out here in Grays Creek and I love it.

I did my 4 in division, actually 18 months in Vicenza, the rest in 2/325. ETSd in 86. Returned to my HOR, Boston, and immediately regretted leaving NC. 15 years later, my wife and I moved here with 3 small daughters primarily due to insane property values back in the new england area. The rest is history.

Italy is the Airborne reenlistment station of choice, I did my first three in 1-325 AIR and reenlisted to go to Vicenza myself. I still have a lot of family that live in southern VT and make the trip to Boston because it's cheaper to live.

Always great ta have another veteran. Welcome , from the foot hills of the Blue Ridge. :)
