CP meaning "Competition Pistol". Ever since the PMR-30 came out people have been asking for a 22LR version. Well here it is, although they went down a different track with it. At first I was like, why is it bigger and heavier than my 22mag PMR-30?

Looks like they're trying to compete in the mid range target pistol market against the Ruger MK series, S&W Victory, etc. Seems to be accurate enough and has a fixed barrel/slide to easily accommodate supressors and optics.

The big difference? It holds 33rds in the magazine, and a 50rd is on the way. There also appears to be additional features designed specifically to support suppressed shooting.

I could be down with this once the rush is over.

Having owned the PMR-30 and being.... underwhelmed, to put it nicely, I'll wait to hear the reviews after a LOT of testing by someone else. That magazine reliability would seem questionable.
Kel Tec's stuff just feels so dang cheap in your hand too.

I want to get one in my hands before I commit. Great idea, but I'm not sure about the grip being in the middle of the slide, rather then the rear like normal.

I'd also like to see a brace and/or rifle version of this.

With that grip location it almost seems like you would have to run a suppressor.

It feels cheap because it is purposely lightweight. And cheap. :D

Most of the PMRs and CMRs are fairly reliable but only for so many rounds, they get dirty quick and can't handle it. Some will go hundreds of rounds, some won't. When you get a feel for how many rounds yours will go before needing cleaning and keep up with it they work well. That number will continue to increase the more you shoot it. There have been bad mags though.

Oh yeah I always run 25rds in my mags, exactly half a box of ammo and has a positive effect on reliability I believe compared to running the full 30.

Well it has to be under the breech to feed ammo. They just extended the rear abnormally far.

If they could get that to work reliably, I’d be all over it.........looks like I’ll never get to own one.

I have one of these. It has only had one failure to fire out of 300 rounds. The same round fired on the second strike. I am shooting suppressed.
