Meet Maya. Around 2 year old Belgian Malinois female. Rescued from an animal shelter in ENC. We have her as a foster for American Belgian Malinois Rescue, but if she can get along with all the other critters here on the farm she may become permanent.

She was found wandering around loose around a month ago, and has a severe case of heart worms (which we’re treating).

Gorgeous girl. Praying for the heartworm treatment and her adoption to the family.

She's a good looking girl.

I'm calling before I get out of the vehicle from now on.
If she ends up like the lady of the house (I forget her name) I met when I adopted my Tannerite, she can read intentions so you will be fine. Maybe bring a toy and a tireless arm🤔

That was Ricochet, aka Shea. Shea developed degenerative myopathy about a year ago (canine version of Lou Gehrig disease) and every day that we still have her is a blessing.

Maligators can be a tough foster … if they bond with “their” human it can be hard to separate. Hope she fits in and stays for all involved.

I'm a sucker for senior rescue pups
In the past few years we fostered two senior labs that their owners had turned in to a shelter. Both were over 13 years old and had a form of cancer. We had one for upwards of a year and the other for around 4 months.

My wife and I could never understand why someone would turn in a member of the family to the shelter just because they were old and in need..,.

Poor baby, I hope the heart worms were caught early enough so she wasn’t suffer any long term complications from them.

As others have already said, she is a babydoll for sure!!

I would like to see if those that do that are people who cheat or get divorced when things get tough.

Commitment... Seems people forget what that is.

Well, it's official. Maya will become a permanent addition to our family.

She is the sweetest Mal that I've ever been around. Loves to play with one of our other dogs too. She has made great progress in housebreaking, but still does not know how to play with humans.
