Hello to all. My name is Tommy Roupe. I have been around firearms most of my life. Thanks to my late Dad, he had me in the woods from a early age. Grew up in the hills of W.Va. Loved the outdoors and enjoyed the traditions. Grew up hunting and fishing in the hills. I started shooting a little competition in the late 70's. It was called PPC. I had no idea as to what I was doing, but I was safe and did not shoot myself or any other shooters. I did not know any better and my first match was with a Smith 29. The owner of the indoor range said that I shot very well, but I needed to consider a different pistol for PPC. It was not long that I had a Colt Python for PPC and it was truly fun. When I relocated to N.C. I was fortunate to find the sport of USPSA. I went to my first match around 1989, maybe 1990. I shot safe, did not have any AD's and did not break the 180. Boy was I hooked. I have not looked back and if I could have all of the money back that I have spent in the USPSA with the ammo, custom guns, travel, match fee's and such, I could have paid for 2 homes. Many miles under my tail traveling up and down the east coast shooting matches. Being in the shooting sports world has given me the opportunity to meet some very good folks that I call friends, from World Champions, Elite Military Warriors, Industry leaders and just some great folks over the years. I have shot in 3 gun matches and I am know enjoying PCC Carbines matches in USPSA. As I get older, the vision is going and the knee's and legs are not as fast as they used to be. Shooting has been good to me and it has given me a career in Law Enforcement which hopefully I will be able to retire from in a few years. I still shoot in matches when I can and also enjoy precision rifle. That stems from the days of growing up in the hills hunting groundhogs. Boy do I miss hunting groundhogs. I even met my lovely wife at a shooting range and she has put up with my shooting for the past 24 years. She had competed with me in the early days. I have two beautiful children that also enjoy shooting and the great outdoors. Looking forward to the site, hopefully find some interest with others and maybe even find a good deal sometime.
