I just put a set of Michelins on our Camry for $735 and Michelin has a $70 mail in rebate so after that my net cost is $665.

Got them from Jeff Barnes Auto Repair in Angier. (919) 639-2406

I used Jeff for years. He got me for 725 bucks. I tell my story of anyone wants to hear it, lol

It's hard to beat Walmart pricing on tires

Call every tire shop in town and ask for installed price on that tire. Only then will you know.

We use a local alignment shop because they give a free alignment with tire purchase and their tire prices are usually lower than everyone else.

And when you have problems with the tires you got to deal with walmart. It may say Goodyear on the tire but if it is exclusive to Walmart, a Goodyear dealer won't touch it. Ive had that discussion with my local Goodyear dealer that my family has used for the last 50 years.

Tires are the most important performance part on your car. One thing I don't understand is the love affair with tires rated at super high mileages... Those rubber compounds are usually harder, and therefore less sticky.

I hated those tires on my wife's old car. Falken Ziex whatevers were a huge upgrade.

FWIW I would never pay over $700 for any 4 tires that didn't have the Michelin man on the side.

Michelin Premiere A/S was a HUGE upgrade on my wifes Passat (which came with crappy Hankook AS turds-on-a-wheel that only lasted 28K miles) in both handling and ride. YUGE!

Most people don't realize that our roads here in NC and SC are built with a granite base. Granite is super hard and very abrasive to tires. Eats them up.

Just had to buy two tires for my daughter's car. Bought through TireBuyer.com. Saved $100 over Tirerack and that was with free shipping and discounted mounting/balancing performed at local tire/auto repair shop. Check them out and price compare.

Guess that's why I never feel like I get close to the milage rating on any tire. I rotate them, check pressure. Seems I get about 45K tops before I have one or two that need swapped. Now I don't wear them down to the wires either, well not anymore. My wife gets antsy if you can see space on Abe's head.
