Bought this unit, used.
I've used this one extensively (borrowed)
And it worked great. I have so much work for it that renting just doesn't make $ sense.
It uses a slip clutch as driveline protection.
These units are very well made and hold their value.
Only wear item is the carbide teeth.
Replacement set is $100. I found a place in Raleigh who will "re-tip" them with carbide for $60.

Merry Xmas to me!

How did you find a used one?

I "network" with other folks who are interested in tractors and forestry.
We lend each other implements and occasionally BST when they sit unused and needs change. It's tough for one man to wear out many 3pt implements, so it makes sense to take a small loss and pass it on.

I understand your question though...
I have NEVER seen a used 3pt grinder advertised for sale anywhere and I have been looking for awhile.
I might make a little money with this one just to offset it's purchase price.
It's perfect for cleaning up the stumps on shooting lanes so they can be bushhogged.
I run it on my 40hp but it will work on 25hp machines also, just take smaller bites.

I don't have a tractor or a need for one, but now I want one anyway. That just looks like a fun tool.
