Just unpacked this beast. Arrived this morning. All I have to do is jack it up at each corner and remove the heavy duty caster dollys I put under it so I could move it around. Then I'll roll it off the pallet.

I'm seriously impressed with this box. It's almost 4 feet tall and nearly 6-1/2 feet long. It's a welcome change and will free up a bunch of cabinet space that my larger tools have been occupying.

Price and where did you get it

I got it for wholesale. $4118.00 + 160.00 s&h. Depending on where you look, some places price this box above $7k.

I ordered it from Automotive Service Equipment. It weighs around 1200 lbs. and they ship it covered with styrofoam panels, inside a cardboard box, then inside a crate made from fiber board. So it would be obvious if it arrived damaged.

That looks awesome!
But, 4 grand WOW!

Very nice,, I like the big drawer on the right for all those " Tool kits, special tools " we seem to accumulate. I got out of the Technician field after 38 years, my garage is filled with tool boxes. I don't miss it at all..

Thank the Lord I am not a mechanic. I just put and extra $4k in my savings I guess. My 20+ year old red Craftsman seems to be holding up even if it isn’t as large or cool looking as that thing. But I fully support buying the best gear you can for your hobbies. Hence the almost $2k pellet grill I have on the way.

Love that blue color. Post some pics with drawers open full of tool. Kinda in action pics.

Same here, still can't let the tools go... because you never know when you'll need that *.

Darn Right,, Wifey has brought up the subject about getting rid of some of my tools and she has a good point? Do I really need 10 12 mm wrenches in all sorts of shapes, do I need 3 timing lights? When we the last time I used a timing light? Do I need fuel pressure gauges and the fittings ? Good golly, tubing bends, angle finders, bore gauges and the list goes on and on. The only answer I can come up with is,, maybe?

Holy smokes... Didn't realize these joker's cost that much...

Nice kit though...
Yep,,The box itself is only about a third of what that mechanic has in tool cost to put into it. Most folks don't realize that a mechanic has to provide his own tools and good tools are not cheap.

Very nice, 30" deep? Price is darn nice but still too rich for my blood, i'd have loved to have gone with a higher end extreme but just couldn't swing it.

I recently picked up a 72" Homak and was very happy with the build quality for the money. Napa runs some real good sales on the RS Pro Homaks if anyone is in the market for home shops. Folks over at garagejournal like https://www.strictlytoolboxes.com/ also. Unfortunately they discontinued the box I was going to buy from them. Neither are tool truck level quality but they aren't tool truck prices either.

Yep. 30 inch deep stainless top. I'm going to put a thick rubber mat on it to protect that nice top.

I remember when these SS tops first came out..Guy in shop bought one and was so darn proud of it.. He kept it shined up, not a spec of dust on it. That Saturday, he didn't work but his work neighbor was. The work neighbor thought it was ok to use that surface as a work bench and slung a P/S rack onto it. Then proceeded to cut the boot bands and hammer the inner tie rods off it ON this guys pretty top. Pretty tool box guy came into work on Monday and found metal shavings, rubber dust, scratches and dents and P/S fluid all over his bright and shiny. After he got done screaming, I thought he was gonna cry. A week later I see him slinging brake rotors on his bright and shiny, guess the " New" ran off and its back to work.

Dang. Yep, I would have been pissed as well. Fortunately, this one is in my personal garage at home. Do I really need a big nice box like this? Not really. But I do have some heavy tools that have taken their toll on my two smaller Craftsman tool cabinets and their drawers over the years. Plus, I'd rather have one big nice heavy duty tool cabinet instead of two or three smaller ones that struggle to hold my heavier stuff.

You will fill it up, I promise lol.

I was going to go with a 55" and my buddy talked me into the 72" stack, sure glad he did.

Badass box Dave. I’m gonna get a top and bottom cabinet box here in the near future to combine mine and Dads tools in one place so I can get rid of the half dozen small boxes sitting around everywhere on work benches that I could be using to actually work on stuff.

Tool boxes are a lot like sheds. You will need a larger one in the future so you might as well just plan for that so you only buy it once. I, on other had didn't know that years ago which is why I have a garage filled with tool boxes.

Truth. I have multiple mediocre boxes and I am a hack.
